Picking a blog name was very difficult. My husband and I aren't really in to labels, but how else to you let a virtual world that knows you only by your words, know what you're about? This blog will be a cornucopia of things. Here's why...

Rena--I'm mom! I have PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) I've lost 115 pounds, gained 130 back during pregnancy, and am losing it again. We had a very long and hard time getting pregnant. I'm an Atheist living deep seated in the south. No where else than in the southern United States have I felt like such an outsider and a leper. Here are my musings on raising a critically thinking, Atheist child in the bible belt. With a little Rena flavor thrown in.

Vance--He's dad. He likes to ramble. Which is a very important skill seeing as though he's working on a masters in history and teaching. He is also an Atheist. I need to mention we were both raised very religious, and 100% of our real life friends and family are christians. So, we are not blind to religion. He's an ecclectic, wonderful man and father. Get out a notebook and pen, you can learn alot from this guy!
